** If you have a show proposal it will be made at the beginning of the meeting, we book shows at the VERY latest one month in advance, and we don't book shows that are only going to consist of the bands watching other bands with their guests (make sure you have at least 2 bands on the bill that have a big fanbase and will have a high draw, the ONLY days we will have shows are on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The only exception for Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday will be because there is a touring band involved.)**
Bring a head full of ideas in regard to the department you'd like to be apart of, a composition notebook and a pen (we need to be organized). The key goal here is that we are going for QUALITY not QUANTITY. If anything, if we have a large quantity of quality THAT'S the goal. Let's throw idealism out the window and focus on what we have immediate resources for, refine those strong points until they are high quality and then move on to something greater. We just have to lay down the initial foundation for the Freak Style collective before we get ahead of ourselves and have the core elements organized and functioning properly. The core elements consist of:
More badass shows, more touring bands
A youtube channel for shows and more
Band interviews
Upcoming LP/EP reviews
Plenty more freak style artwork
Monthly collective meetings
Press on current events in the diy scene
Captivating band/crowd shots
A site worth visiting ran by people who regularly update it!
^ ..And in order for all this great shit to work we need to have these departments down here functioning smoothly!
